It looks like Madonna is about to throw her hand at directing and it sounds terribly British.

Madonna wants to tell the story of King Edward VII and Wallis Simpson, the love story the royal family wishes never happened.

Madonna is also co-writing the script with her Truth or Dare partner Alex Keshishian.

Colin Vaines and David Parfitt, both former Miramax execs, are underwriting the production.

Madonna made her debut as a director in 2008 with 'Filth and Wisdom'. That one flew right by me (and the rest of the world). Who even knew it existed.
