Janet Jackson likes to keep 'meticulously clean' when she is flying, it has been reported.

The singer recently boarded a British Airways flight from London to Los Angeles and spent some time wiping her seating area down with antibacterial spray, reports New York Post.

It has been claimed that Victoria Beckham was also travelling in the first class section of the plane as Janet began to clean up.

'Janet had anti-bacterial spray, and was pulling one tissue out of a bag after another,' a source told the newspaper. 'This wasn't a normal rubdown; this was 40 minutes of meticulously wiping everything.'

Earlier that day, Janet had been on a flight from Cannes that was diverted from Heathrow to Gatwick in the UK.

It was recently reported that Janet is officially a billionaire.

According to Variety, the 47-year-old star is one of the best-selling artists of all time and has earned $458 million thanks to her successful concert tours. Janet has made $260 million in album sales, and more than $81 million from tour sponsorships and licensing fees.

She also raked in an impressive $304 million from acting roles in films like For Colored Girls, Why Did I Get Married? and The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.

Janet secretly married billionaire retail tycoon Wissam Al Mana last year. He has made his fortune investing in the Middle East.
